Each year in May we observe Nurses Week. The theme for 2024 is Changing Lives. Shaping Tomorrow. It is important to take this opportunity to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes who provide compassionate care to some of our most vulnerable people. Nurses are dedicated professionals who work tirelessly day in and day out, often behind the scenes, to ensure the health, comfort, and dignity of the people they care for.

Nurses in Long-Term Care play a multifaceted role, serving as advocates, caregivers, educators, and companions to Elders and their families. They possess a unique blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and resilience, which enables them to navigate the complex challenges and dynamics of Long-Term Care with grace and compassion.

As we celebrate Nurses Week 2024, let us extend our gratitude to the nurses at The Lodge, The Manor, The Villa and the Adult Day Program. Thank you for everything you do, and may you be reminded of the difference you make in the lives of others.
