Activities for Elders not only contribute to a healthy lifestyle, they also lead to enriching friendships and true happiness. These activities enhance the well-being and promote physical, cognitive, and emotional health, such as self-esteem, pleasure, comfort, creativity, success, and independence.
An additional emphasis is placed on “person-appropriate” activities that are relevant to the specific needs, interests, culture, and background of individual Elders, including those with dementia. “One-to-one programming” requires that activity staff provide assistance for those who cannot plan their own activity pursuits, or need special assistance, such as those with dementia
The monthly Activity Calendar is designed to keep you involved and immersed in fun and friendship. There are a variety of activities, and are combinations of large- and small-group, one-to-one, and self-directed activities that occur throughout the day, every day of the week. Enjoy the versatile entertainers who bring their many talents to our home. As well as in-house activities, Elders can take in many planned outings.
Elders are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas on what activities they would like to see added to our current program.
