Your Dining Experience
We know how important dining is to the Elders at Lambton Meadowview Villa. That’s why our on-site Nutrition Supervisor is committed to offering the best-quality meals that are appetizing and delicious. Our Nutrition Supervisor is available to discuss individual dietary needs and take great pride in creating home-style favourites.
Dining at Lambton Meadowview Villa provides Elders with quality nutrition and hydration, while still ensuring safety, choice and independence. With a seasonal four-week menu rotation, Elders are offered a variety of different dishes that are planned with season and preferences in mind.
Each individual meets with the Registered Dietitian (RD) to review nutritional goals, preferences, and the need for therapeutic nutrition interventions. There are therapeutic and texture modified diets available to suit each person’s individual requirements which include but are not limited to modified diabetic diet, no added salt, soft and bite texture, minced and moist texture, and puree texture. If care partners recognize changes in an Elders’s nutrition status, the RD can be referred to for an assessment.
Lambton Meadowview Villa recognizes that meals are a way to enhance quality of life and aim to create a pleasurable dining experience to promote this. Care partners at Lambton Meadowview Villa work as an interdisciplinary team to support and care for all Elders dining needs. Every meal and snack is prepared to suit each Elder’s specific diet and nutrition goals. We understand that eating independently is a basic component of self-worth and autonomy, and incorporates supportive and restorative dining approaches to maintain, and/or regain Elders self-feeding skills.
With a variety of daily choices, delicious and nutritious menu options and well-appointed surroundings, you can sit back and enjoy a friendly and pleasurable dining experience.
