Making the Move to Long-Term Care

Making the Move to Long-Term Care

All of our rooms come furnished with a chair, single adjustable bed, bedside table and dresser, in addition to a built-in wardrobe. We invite you to bring your favourite pictures, plants and photos to help decorate your room to make it feel more like home.

Our interprofessional team is here to help you and your care partner as you settle into your new home. We will make sure your medications, treatments and nutritional needs are supported from the moment you arrive. Our team includes laundry, housekeeping and maintenance staff, nurses, personal support workers, social workers, dietitians, physiotherapists, recreation and leisure staff, and administrative staff who will all meet with you to get to know what is important to you.

We have therapeutic gardens in all 3 of our Homes where Elders enjoy walks and activities during the summer months. Elders also like feeding the birds and the squirrels, as well as growing vegetables in the gardens! We have a 12-seat bus that is shared between the 3 Homes (Villa, Manor and Lodge). Our recreation staff plan outings to places such as the casino, the mall, restaurants etc.
